其实两句都没错,只是用法不同,意义有别而已.你老师说work in a bank是错的,很可能因为上下文的脉络,用 a bank 不合适,或逻辑上产生谬误.这基本上是 a 和 the 两种的分别.A 是 indefinite article表示没有一个特定的名词,They work in a bank 表示他们的职业是银行界的,都是到银行上班一族,不过不知道是什麽银行、不清楚有关的情况.The 是definite article表示特定或指定或已知的名词.They work in the bank 则表示他们在某间银行上班,该银行的名字已经在上文出现过,又或者是读者都已知道讲的是哪间银行.在商用英语里,The Bank / The Company（尤其是大写）往往是指 "本银行" / "本公司".
