都说不用背单词,可是我发现很多题我都只是be动词和冠词能看懂....而且买了本《长难句》杨鹏的,看了gmat部分的难句,结果发现单词都认识的句子可以不回读就看懂,但是不认识单词的句子死也看不懂.....所以我这种情况还是要背单词吧?

不背单词,考试就会是下面这种下场:
我们知道賢鏛是在生活中很重要的。比如在鼙蠻和贎鬍里,有彃燊在罅鷄那里蘩墝,之前他们鏈鴊恆闳嘑傡彚槩滼鞷蕻賤鬡艐倏雫寬褲灣。1.鞷 在文中的意思? 2.这篇文章的最佳标题?3.作者没有告诉我们什么?4.作者为什么说“恆闳嘑傡彚槩”?(非原創)
这问题问的…因人而异,你单词量够了就不用背,不够就要。如果GRE阅读和填空涉及单词基本都认识的话,GMAT应该是不需要背单词的。
如果你只认识be和冠词,是当然要背的,因为GMAT考试是一个以英语为语言媒介对逻辑思维进行考察的考试,就如同你要和计算你思维能力的电脑打电话,英语就是你们之间的信号,如果你大部分单词都不认识,信号就会断断续续,电脑对你的思维能力的判定只可能是低的。但也不需要太大的单词量,要有针对性地背,数学部分的术语是肯定要认识的,否则题目问到isosceles triangle你就不知道题目隐含的条件是两边相等,因为isosceles的意思是等腰的,这道题你出错的可能性就很大;逻辑、阅读和写作都一定要认识表示“批驳”“怀疑”“反对”“认可”这些逻辑方向的词的很多不同说法,例如debunk, concur, dismiss,annul, recalcitrant等等,因为这些词一旦在题干或者选项中成了你眼中的乱码,这题干你多半读不懂,这选项也成了你进行排除时的大boss让你手足无措。其他的阅读和逻辑中出现的自然科学类的词其实不认识并没有大的影响,用字母进行代替就可以了。总之,托福的词汇量是基本需要的~总之,背起来吧,少年~
任何英语类考试摆在你面前第一道难关就是单词,那么GMAT考试需要背单词么?对于四六级之类考试,基本都已经形成了一些约定俗成的规定。但对于GMAT考试,而GMAT又没有单词书,又没有单词量的要求,那么到底GMAT考试要背单词么?  GMAT需要背单词么?  做一份真题,看看你能不能读懂题目?能不能明白文章的意思?  如果感觉跟中文一样,恭喜你,直接复习吧,下面的文章跟你关系不大了。 如果还不能完全看懂,有部分生僻词不认识,是否应该背背GRE词汇呢?  其实大可不必,大家都知道,GMAT的相关文章大多选之于论文以及评述,不同于你一般在报纸杂志中所看到的。所以难免有一些专业术语以及一些生僻词,GRE词汇倒是能很好的解决这个问题,但要是为了一小部分的生僻词而背GRE,显得有些得不偿失了,毕竟备考时间是有限,放弃无疑是明智的选择。  只要你达到基本阅读无障碍,就把单词留在复习过程中去攻克吧,在做阅读,作文,数学的时候将自己不会的单词进行总结,然后继续总结,坚持每天记忆,你就会很快发现单词已经不是问题。  如果你连一些基本词汇都看不懂,那么该怎么背GMAT单词呢?  那没有办法了,老老实实开始从4,6级开始,继而开始背TOEFL单词,等到能够掌握90%以上的TOEFEL词汇后开始单项复习吧,剩下的单词已经无法挡住你杀G的进程了。  测试下能力,基本能读懂就不要在单词上浪费时间了,让单词放到专项练习中辅助完成;文章还看不明白的话,就按照4,6级,TOEFEL的顺序开始按部就班的开始背诵,神马时候能够达到掌握90%的TOFEL词汇后再开始单项复习吧。  先通过4,6级单词关,再冲过TOEFL单词关,你的GMAT单词也就不会有太大的问题。
那个雷哥上面说的背单词的方法不是七天搞定gre单词的缩写版嘛?当然要背单词,而且要背的多,因为当你面对阅读理解逻辑思维和语法的时候,看不懂单词是很痛苦的
英语专八良好 有过一次gmat考试经验的人来说一下。 你不用一定要背单词 但你要认识 因为很多单词都是你出了gmat考场就不会再用到的单词。比如神经元 叶绿素。你可以不会拼写 但你要知道意思。 不以单词量为基础的谈思维 都是耍流氓
同意楼上很多楼的答案,英语考试,单词是基础,但是GMAT考试更加注重逻辑性思维,单词的背诵量要求不是很大。了解做题方法是关键
对于大多数人在国内,非英语专业,工作中使用英语有限的人来说,都是要背的。我觉得背两千个差不多就够用了。背完了你平时看美剧也能舒服一些的。
怎么说呢,有一部分是本来就没指望你认识的,让你根据上下文来理解,从而测试逻辑能力的,也有一部分是你该知道,而大部分非英语母语的学生确实不知道的。如何区别?不要区别,在准备的时候遇到不认识的就查一下,最好先查英英,看不懂再查英汉,查完就算,不需要复习。那些你应该知道的会在一定量的学习以后由于被查次数过多自然而然的被记住。
8000 words G主要考的是思维能力,英语水平的话只要能读得懂题就可以了,一般来说托福的词汇就足够了,
