洛阳千家姓之——靖姓现行罕见姓氏。今津、冀、鲁、内蒙古、晋、鄂等地有分布。汉族姓氏。来源不一： 一、《风俗通》云：“单靖公之后，以谥为氏。”《中国古今姓氏大辞典》云：“单，周畿内国，在今河南孟津县东南，此当系出姬姓。”是黄帝后裔。二、又云：“齐田氏之族，靖国君之后。”《中国古今姓氏大辞典》云：“齐田氏，乃舜帝后裔，妫姓；靖国君乃齐威王少子田婴封号。此以祖辈封号为氏，系出妫姓，或云出自田氏。”显然是黄帝后裔。 隋朝有靖德玄；唐朝有靖君亮、迳州别驾靖延；五代靖长官、靖屿；金代有靖安民，封易水公；明朝有洪武年间抚州道判靖宣、弘治训导靖举、正德年间河间知县靖希贤、鸿胪寺卿靖洪、永州同知靖四方；清朝有康熙丙戍年间进士靖道谟；当代有中央军委委员、第二炮兵司令员靖志远，等。 从山西省洪洞县大槐树迁民之靖姓后裔分布于陕、甘、豫等等地。
