　　2014年6月的大学英语四六级考试刚刚过去，余波未平的考试热浪为我们暑假的英语学习进行着预热。在四级考试中，选词填空一直是一个神秘而未知的地带，今天我就带领大家去这个神秘地带一探究竟。
　　2014年6月大学英语四级的选词填空题延续了2013年12月选词填空的难度，也就是--一直很难。选词填空对于考四级的同学们并不陌生，大家练习的过程中会发现自己屡屡受挫，那么我们来看一下，这次四级考试的选词填空我们应该以什么样的方法和心态来面对呢？
　　首先，我们来回顾一下选词填空的做题基本方法。
　　第一步，浏览全文（20秒）。选词填空题的第一句话是不设空的，以便于同学们可以对文章大意进行了解，所以不要辜负了出题老师的美意哦。下面的这篇选词填空，我们看到，第一句话的关键词就是：global warming。我相信做好这一步同学们是没有问题的。
　　第二步，划分词汇（30秒）。选词填空与其他阅读模式最大的区别就在于：选词填空给出15个不同词性的词汇。我们做题的时候就是通过判断每道题"空"的部分词性，缩小可"填"的词的范围，从而大大提高正确率的。
　　这道题的词性划分为：
　　A) appealing &v+ing
　　B) average & adj.
　　C) contributing &v+ing
　　D) dramatic & &adj.
　　E) frequently & & &adv.
　　F) impact & &v.\n.
　　G) line & n.
　　H) maintain & v
　　I) melted & & v+ed
　　J) persist &v.
　　K) ranging & &v+ing
　　L) recently & adv.
　　M) resolved & v+ed
　　N) sensible & adj.
　　O) shock &v.
　　同学们直接把词汇的词性标在试卷上就最好，看得清晰，找得容易。
　　第三步，判断空格内词汇词性（4分钟）。第三步也是作选词填空题最重要的一步，就是根据空格前后的词和词组，判断空格中要填的词的词性；再根据上下文的意思，判断最终填哪个词。
　　我们以这篇文章为例。这篇文章有几个空是很容易判断的：1）.37题， in _____ with，这是一个短语，我们可以从这15个词汇中一眼看出，只有in line with是可以构成短语的，意思是：与……保持一致。2）39题temperatures ______ between 1℃ and 6℃。这里很明显是说温度变化从1℃ 到 6℃，也很容易可以选出ranging，变化的意思。3）42题是我们经常强调的一种题型，即并列题。当空格前后有并列词，并且并列词连接空格和另外一个已知词汇时，空格和已知词汇词性相同。我们举个例子方便大家理解：42题是这样的： become more habitable （宜居的） and ______ for humans than these areas are now. 空格前方有一个很端正的and，同学们看到这个and不要害羞，一定要欣喜若狂，因为它可以帮你判断空格应该填什么词性。and前方给了一个词habitable （宜居的），很显然是形容词，并且同学们要注意，往往给出意思的词汇是很重要的，一定是对你做题有帮助的，出题老师才会很善良的为你标识出来。所以，本空需要从刚才我们划分的形容词中找。形容词一共有3个，分别是：B) average，D) dramatic， N) sensible。注意，and这样的并列连词前后连接的两个词不仅词性相同，一定词义相近。所以，这三个词中，只有sensible的意思是明智的，与habitable词义相近。4）43题：on _____，这道题比较简单，选项中只有on average能形成短语，所以答案显而易见。
　　当我们把非常明显的这四个题做出来之后，大概又过去了一分钟，接下来就没有迅速的答题办法了，我们必须再回头重新用基础方法来做剩下的题。
　　比如：36题。Part of th we have experienced a 20,000-year-long warming as the last ice age ended and the ice & & ___36___ away. 空格前面是 the ice，后面应该接动词，与away形成短语，根据前面的并列连词and，判断这个空格中应该填的词汇与前面the last ice age ended中的ended词性相同。选词填空有一个对我们有利的特点，是：词的形式不变。就是说填在空里是单三还是过去式，在出题的时候就会给出单三或是过去式，而不是全部"打回原型"。所以，我们只要找v.+ed形式的词就可以了。所以答案就在I melted, M resolved两个选项中二选一，很明显melted away是符合语法的，我们的答案I就出现了。
　　剩下的五道题全部是用这种--"先判断词性，再判断意思"--的方法完成的。
　　最后，我们回顾一下选词填空的答题技巧和方法。第一，选词填空的分值比较小，每个空0.5分，总分值5分。其位置在战略要塞：阅读第一部分。难度相对较大，需要的时间比较多，对于基础比较薄弱的同学是难点。所以，我在课堂上都建议同学们先做我们最拿手，占比分最多的仔细阅读，最后做选词填空。第二，同学们做选词填空总体时间在5分钟左右。同学们看到，这道题的10个空想在5分钟内都做对，难度是很大的，并且根据多年的授课经验，负责任的告诉同学们，普遍新东方的课上同学们大概正确率平均在2～3个左右，当然有对8～9个的大牛，但是我们说的是平均值。所以，我建议同学们学会放手。如果你的时间不够你细细研究所有的空，那么就放弃一部分。比如刚才我们做的这道题，有四个空的答案是显而易见的，不需要完全理解上下文，那么我们做好这4道题，得分就已经高于平均分了。同学们要对做题时间分布战略做到心中有数，在考场上才不会慌张，才能应对自如。
