不需要cannot...我读清楚了，这么理解：individual can thrive without goals to provide a sense of purpose.这个是说”个人在没有目标的情况下能成长多少“，成长被量化了来做比较。比如这个量是X,这个X应该很小，因为人没目标，成长就小嘛。Organiztions cannot thrive (条件) any more than X.组织在这些条件下的成长还多不过X.什么样的条件呢 —— 如果不将注意力集中于他们的最终目的
