Phil served as the Vice President and Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the Las Vegas Sands Corp (LVS) where he was responsible for all aspects of the global Cyber Security program including strategic planning, global cyber operations, threat intelligence, security architecture and engineering, as well as PCI, SOX and gaming compliance.
Prior to the Sands, Phil was the CISO for DRS Technologies, a $10B Cleared Defense Contractor, where he was responsible for strategic and tactical planning, and compliance with the Defense Security Service Industrial Security Program requirements. He was instrumental in deploying cutting edge cyber security technologies focusing on prevention over detection and response.
Earlier in his career, Phil served the US Federal government for 30 years including positions as the CISO for the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and similar roles with the Department of Defense for the United States Army, Europe, and the United States Southern Command in Miami, Florida. Mary Landesman has been researching malware and security events for over two decades. In addition to security research and data analytics, Mary has published a multitude of security-focused articles in a variety of publications, including Virus Bulletin, Elsevier, PC World, and ZDNet. She has also presented at several conferences, including e-Crime Congress, Virus Bulletin, RSA, and Gartner Security Summit.
Mary has been involved in big data analytics for much of her career. In 2004, she spoke at the annual Virus Bulletin conference in a talk titled “Lies, Damn Lies, and Computer Virus Statistics” which provided a custom method for contextually relevant ROI modeling. In 2006, when Mary was a senior manager for Microsoft, she employed her data analytics skills to kickoff the first Microsoft Annual Security Intelligence Reports and she established a data-centric signature response for the Anti-Malware Research and Response Team.
Mary continued her combined security research and data analytics while at Cisco, where, as Senior Security Researcher, she analyzed large data sets to determine the latest Web-based threats and security trends. Mary’s analytic skills enabled her to be the first to discover Gumblar in 2009 – the most prevalent Web threat of both 2009 and 2010 – and was the first to connect the dots behind the DarkLeech compromises of Web hosting servers in 2013.
More recently, Mary was Senior Data Scientist for Norse Corporation, where she employed the global array of sensor data to identify geographic and economic drivers of attacks from both source and target perspectives.
Mary is a three-time Microsoft MVP award recipient for her role in furthering consumer security. In 2010, Apollo Research declared Mary the most quoted security researcher for malware and phishing topics and third most quoted for security overall. Daniel J. Solove is the John Marshall Harlan Research Professor of Law at the George Washington University Law School. He is a Senior Policy Advisor at Hogan Lovells. During his career, Lani was a founding member of the Citicorp Corporate Technology Office, an Apple Computer “Fellow”, Distinguished Engineer, Scientist, and Technologist (DEST), and an executive advisor to the Central Intelligence Agency (INQUIT) in commercialization of security intelligence software.
Lani has designed and architected many post-merger system integration efforts. As a professional consultant he has led crisis response interventions to remediate and eliminate data security breaches and mission-critical systems outages for several Fortune 500 companies.
Lani earned his BS in Industrial Management and Engineering from San Diego State University, an MPA in MPA in International Regulatory Systems from Cal State Long Beach and his MBA from San Diego State University.

Kristina is the founder & Chief Executive Officer of the Government & Services Technology Coalition which represents the interests of small and mid sized companies in the federal homeland and national security market. She has grown the non-profit organization to over 140 leading companies and is responsible for the growth, content, strategy and day-to-day management. Kristina has over 20 years of lobbying and advocacy experience on Capitol Hill on behalf of non-profit associations, government clients, and coalitions.
Kristina is also the president and founder of Women in Homeland Security, a professional development organization for women in the field of homeland security that has grown to over 3500 members in 5 years. She also serves as Executive Vice President on the Board of Directors for the InfraGard National Capitol Region Members Alliance, and served on the U.S. Coast Guard Board of Mutual Assistance and as a trustee for the U.S. Coast Guard Enlisted Memorial Foundation.
She also founded and served for two years as executive director of the American Security Challenge, an event that awarded monetary and contractual awards in excess of $3.5 million to emerging security technology firms. Additionally, she ran the largest homeland security conference and exposition in the country where she created and managed three Boards of Advisors representing physical and IT security, first responders, Federal, State and local law enforcement, and public health.
In addition to being featured frequently in national publications, Kristina has also worked at the American Public Works Association, American Enterprise Institute, several Washington, D.C. associations representing both the public and private sectors, and the White House under President George H.W. Bush.
She is a graduate of St. Olaf College and earned her Masters in Public Administration from George Mason University. She is also a graduate of the DEA’s and the FBI’s Citizens’ Academies, in addition to the Marine Corps Executive Forum. Recently she was honored by the National Association of Woman Owned Businesses as a Distinguished Woman of the Year Finalist and nominated for “Friend of the Entrepreneur” by the Northern Virginia Technology Council, and for a Heroines of Washington DC award in 2014.
