有没人知道去澳洲读博，想申请奖学金的话，一定要出paper才拿得到奖学金么？
I contacted a professor in australia, he told me that it's essential for me to publish a paper so that i can get the scholarship. His funding can only cover half of my cost studying there. The students who don't have a paper will be thought to be not very competitive and not ranked very high in the faculty list.
I am wondering whether it's just a euphemism to reject me，
not positive, you can choose another group.
as he told you, you must have paper to win his scholarship, moreover, he cannot cover all the expenses, so I think it is better to contact others, this professor may not have enough funding to enroll students

语言倒没有什么优势，主要是推荐者的关系吧。同时，她的运气也很好，申请事宜都是那边的导师帮她办好的。
PAPER 才是王道。绝对的。如果有本事在本行TOP期刊上发篇文章，申请research 奖学金比什么都好用。
