温格:想不通为什么世界杯年英超不推迟1周开幕?

温格亲口证实阿尔特塔会续约，就算没能引进新中卫，蒙雷亚尔也能够客串。此外他还坦言，在世界杯年，英超本应推迟开幕。温格的说法得到了穆里尼奥的认同。
网易体育8月16日报道：当地时间昨天，出席了新赛季英超首轮赛前新闻发布会，当着众多记者的面，温格证实阿尔特塔肯定续约，以及强调，中卫位置并不存在隐患。此外温格还有直言，英超不应该这么早开幕，毕竟今年是世界杯年。《天空体育》：温格认为世界杯年英超应推迟开幕费尔马伦今夏离开阿森纳转投巴萨以后，阿尔特塔成为第一队长，这是否预示着，合同还有一年到期的阿尔特塔今后也将步前几任队长的后尘离开兵工厂？温格对此表示：“阿尔特塔个性挺强，他会签下新合同的，我对此丝毫都不怀疑，但眼下还有一些事情亟待敲定。”卖掉了费尔马伦的阿森纳并未引进新中卫，原本司职右后卫的钱伯斯在社区盾客串了中卫，到了下半时，左后卫出身的蒙雷亚尔亦站在了中卫位置上，温格这些举动是否意味着他不觉得中卫位置存在隐患，就算未签新中卫也无妨？温格在点评蒙雷亚尔时间接给出答案，他说：“蒙雷亚尔可以胜任中卫位置，他很聪明，拦截水准上佳，亦具有很强阅读比赛的能力，他的传球也挺出色，这是极为重要的，因为我们在主场比赛的时候，阵型往往不会压的太上，进攻基本都是从后场开始发起，通过传球层层推进至前场。”英超首轮将于今晚打响，温格觉得这有些不妥，因为今年是世界杯年，很多参加了世界杯的球员都没能得到好好的休息，留给这些球员备战新赛季英超的时间太短，英超其实完全可以仿效意甲与西甲那样推迟联赛开幕时间。温格说：“留给我们备战新赛季英超的时间太短了，我们队有11名球员参加了世界杯，其中大多数人都被放了长假。世界杯决赛是在7月13日，英超首轮是在8月16日，如果你想让球员多休息一段时间，这势必导致季前赛磨合时间缩水。在我看来，各项赛事不妨都推迟一周，因为一旦不让球员们得到足够多的休息，进而又提升训练强度并让他们直接登场比赛，这极有可能导致他们受伤。”“打个比方，蒂亚戈-席尔瓦与大卫-路易斯代表巴西踢了世界杯，后来他们提前回到，最终造成的结果是，蒂亚戈-席尔瓦伤休一个月，大卫-路易斯亦遭伤病侵袭，而在上周的法甲比赛里，巴黎圣日耳曼被对手逼平，亦在主场落败。”“这足以说明，有些俱乐部若想让球队处于最佳状态就必须花上一段时间。眼下我并未把重心放在那些参加了世界杯的球员身上，我更看重拉姆塞、吉布斯与钱伯斯等人，他们亦做好了准备，因为他们跟以往一样，早早就为新赛季做好了准备。”
温格的说法得到了主帅穆里尼奥的认同，穆帅表示：“现代足球的发展趋势就是会有更多比赛，会有更多的赛事，不会有太多思考的时间，很多顶级球员甚至压根就没有喘息机会。对我们来说，利好消息是，我们队的很多球员休息的很足，季前赛备战令人满意。西班牙没能在世界杯小组出线，这让有几名球员的归队时间比预期提前。”“但我们也有球员参加了世界杯决赛以及最后阶段的比赛，他们归队较晚，目前他们是否已经准备好了？完全没有。我们还有一周的时间来调整球队，如果有6名球员没有做好准备就将产生很强的负面影响？并不见得。切尔西绝大多数球员都参加了季前赛，这些人的状态更为出色，因此我们只需去作出选择就行，或许到了踢完两三场比赛以后，我们就可以满员出征了。”
