谢谢邀请!CPU设计被称为高科技中的高科技,信息产业的核心,以我这浅薄的学识根本难以产出有价值的信息,但一直对这个领域极其好奇,姑且将收集的资料做一个整理,抛砖引玉吧,不妥之处还请不吝指正。
SPARC主要是针对服务器的CPU。Sun是世界上第一个将RISC架构给以量产的厂商。为了推动SPARC成为业界标准,并提高全球广泛供应来源,SUN也授权多家半导体厂生产自己的SPARC芯片。SPARC的性能超强,价格也较高,公认在UNIX上的表现杰出。
早期的RISC处理器也是32位,直到六年多前的Alpha诞生后,才把RISC推进64位。就SUN的SPARC而言,其64位处理器是1995年的SPARC-v9架构,产品则称为Ultra
SPARC。目前最高端的SPARC产品是64位的Ultra
SPARC III,采用了Uptime
Bus的技术。Ultra
SPARC III的工作频率有900MHz、750MHz和600MHz三种。与以前的UltraSPARC
II相比,UltraSPARC
III运行程序的速度要快一倍。近几年来,Intel进军高端市场的企图明显,一些拥有RISC处理器大厂已逐渐向Intel的IA-64方向发展,而SUN仍坚持发展自己的Ultra
SPARC处理器,成为阻挡Intel来犯的中流砥柱。
在 “富士通论坛2009”上,Fujitsu展示了它们正在开发的代号“Venus”的Sparc64 VIIIfx处理器,并且宣称其运算能力可达128GFLOPS,是目前世界上计算能力最强的。以往,世界上最强的处理器都掌握在以IBM和Intel为代表的厂商手中,这次Sparc64 VIIIfx所取得的成就对于Fujitsu乃至都有着非比寻常的意思。Fujitsu Sparc64 VIIIfx处理器是一款8核心处理器,核心数量是SPARC64 VII的1倍。由于采用了45nm CMOS制程技术,虽然核心数量增加但是其功耗却只有现有处理器(65nm)的三分之一,性能却是SPARC64 VII的3倍,是Intel Tukwila(51.2GFLOPS)的2.5倍。
Fujitsu Sparc64 VIIIfx处理器是一款8核心处理器,核心数量是SPARC64 VII的2倍;上一代的数量是4个,但是支持SMT技术总共可支持8个,目前的资料没有显示新的处理器支持SMT等类似的技术。由于采用了45nm CMOS制程技术,虽然核心数量增加但是其功耗却只有现有处理器(65nm)的三分之一,性能却是SPARC64
VII的3倍,是Intel
Tukwila(51.2GFLOPS)的2.5倍。
Sparc64 VIIIfx面积约为424平方毫米,比起集成度高达20亿个晶体管的Intel Tukwila(核心面积699平方毫米)处理器小了很多。上图是Sparc64

OE和其应用;多功能性;高性能;大型机水平RAS(可靠性、有效性和适用性)。为保证SPARC64(TM) V 的发展,设计之初就要求达到四个主要的设计目标。首先,SPARC64(TM) V 能与SPARC V9兼容并且与Solaris兼容。以保证能够运行最新的Solaris版本和所有的应用程序。第二,SPARC64(TM) V必须有通用性,能够适用于一系列的系统当中。这些系统包括低能量消耗、简单化和相对少量的信号针脚以确保成本效率,高可靠性系统和易更新和改变的领域。它也使我们能够使用相同的SPARC64(TM)
V处理器在小型前端服务器和目前最大的HPC
SMP服务器上。
第三,SPARC64(TM) V 必须达到高的效能。SPARC64(TM) V 正在象OLTP、ERP和R&D/HPC这样的企业处理环境中获得高的效能。 第四,SPARC64(TM)
V 应当引进大型机级别的RAS以响应关键业务的UNIX服务器市场。SPARC64(TM) V.SPARC64(TM) V使用具有铜线金属的0.13微型CMOS技术制作并且以1.35GHz的速度运行。SPARC64(TM) V内部的微型结构是一个具有无序性执行机械的超级指标。高吞吐量是SPARC64(TM)
V的微型结构的主要目标。它有两个整数位,两个浮点位和两个地址生产位,就是说总共六个计算位。所有的浮点位都能执行乘和加操作,因此你能够同时把四个浮点操作加起来执行。SPARC64(TM) V在同一个模型中有两个级别的非块状缓存。级别1缓存128KB给结构,128KB给数据。级别2缓存有2MB。它们由低潜伏高吞吐量的主线连接起来。内存访问的吞吐量也是性能的一个重要指标。因此,SPARC64(TM) V能同时发布达到16个内存需求,并且接口主线块能以270MHz的速度运行。具有这些高吞吐量的设计,SPARC64(TM)

VII+/VII每个CPU芯片有4个核,SPARC64 VI每个CPU芯片有2个核。另外,SPARC64
VII+通过将二级缓存容量扩大了一倍降低了数据访问时间。芯片多核、每核多线程,大容量片上高速缓存,都大大提高了芯片的性能。多线程技术最小化 CPU 内核的等待时间,增加了 CPU内核的利用率。在SPARC64

多线程多线程技术减少了 CPU 核的等待时间,增加了 CPU核的利用率。在SPARC64 VII+/VII/VI中,每核双线程以很高的效率执行。在每核只有一个线程的处理器中,内存访问时指令执行被挂起,数据读取操作完成时才继续执行。这样的线性指令执行很花时间。在使用了VMT机制的SPARC64 VI处理器中,当线程1/进程1 开始内存访问时,指令控制切换到线程2,线程2/进程2 开始执行。当线程2开始内存访问时,指令控制切换回线程1,挂起的线程1/进程1继续执行。两个线程的切换机制减少了处理器的等待时间,有效利用了内存访问时间,提高中高端
SPARC Enterprise服务器的性能。在SPARC64 VII+/VII使用了SMT机制,线程1和线程2可以并行运行,最小化了处理时间。

一、环境介绍
在没有光驱的情况下客户端服务器进行solaris10 1/13系统重装
安装服务器:SUN M8000, 已安装 Solaris 10 1/13,
ixgbe0 ip:192.168.0.101
e1000g1 ip:192.168.9.10
客户端:SUN M8000,无光驱,
ixgbe0 ip:192.168.0.100
e1000g1 ip:192.168.9.11
联网方式:两台主机的千兆口直连,万兆口通过交换机连接(同一网段)
千兆口:e1000g0与e1000g1
万兆口:ixgbe0与ixgbe1
安装介质:一张Solaris 10 DVD安装光盘
二、&实验步骤
确定网卡是否启用自身的MAC地址
在SPARC平台上,每个基于SPARC的系统都具有系统范围的MAC的地址,默认情况下所有的接口都使用该地址,故默认情况下,每个接口的MAC地址是相同的,但要使用IPMP,则组中的每个接口必须具有唯一的MAC地址,这些地址必须使用出厂安装的MAC地址。可以使用&eeprom local-mac-address?&命令来检测当前系统的所有接口是否使用了系统范围的MAC地址:
# eeprom local-mac-address?
local-mac-address?=flase
若对eeprpm命令相应的值为false,则表示所有的接口使用的是系统范围的MAC地址,需将值改为true(服务器端与客户端均如此)

客户端检查网卡状态

网络安装必须要通过网卡引导,所以首先要确定主机的多个网卡中,那个网卡承担了此引导工作,并且状态是否开启:

此过程时间会较长,命令执行完成后,/export/home/dvdsparc目录会生成Solaris光盘中的所有数据

客户端开启e1000g1(/pci@1,700000/network@0,1)网卡为可进行引导的网卡,故需确保此客户端网卡与安装服务器端的网卡在同一子网内(如果不在同一子网,则需增加引导服务器)

在关机状态下,客户端与服务器端要实现数据的通信,除了网络是互通的外,还需要彼此识别,这里的识别就必须要通过唯一的MAC地址来进行识别,故需将客户端的MAC地址添加到安装服务器中的配置文件内
