General Packaging is a suite of tools that automates many of the tasks associated with the packaging of an automobile. General Packaging provides assistance to certify the vehicle for compliance to SAE standards and a variety of governmental regulations, including those in the US, Europe, and Asia. It lets users assess the accommodations and ergonomic performance of the vehicle.&
All of the tools of General Packaging are written in the style of wizards, and offer step-by-step instructions to complete these often very complex tasks. In addition, General Packaging makes use of Knowledge Fusion technology to embed industry-specific knowledge of the process of vehicle design and certification. Associativity of the output geometry lets you easily update analysis results as the design of the vehicle evolves from art to final part.&&
General Packaging includes the following modules.
Engine Roll
The Engine Roll wizard lets you simulate the roll of the engine assembly during acceleration, cornering, and braking. Use this module to create a 3D solid envelope representing the extremes of motion of the engine assembly. You can generate a report of interferences with adjacent components.&
Eye Ellipse
The Eye Ellipse wizard lets you create 3D ellipsoids that represent the left, right, and mid-eye positions for a statistical sample of the population.& The SAE standards for , and 2002 are supported.
Instrument Panel Visibility
The Instrument Panel Visibility wizard lets you calculate the visible and non-visible regions of the instrument panel as obscured by the steering wheel, hub, and smart lever switches. This determines whether the vehicle design meets the recommendations of the SAE J1050 standard, which describes the minimum mandatory driver's view of the instrument panel.&
Mirror Certification
The Mirror Certification wizard lets you certify and analyze the performance of the inside and outside rear view mirrors. Federal regulatory standards from the US, Japan, Europe, Saudi Arabia, and Australia are supported.& Reflect Data
The Reflect Data wizard lets you calculate the reflection pattern of interior objects on the windshield. This function accounts for the refraction of light waves as they pass through the glass material.&
Tire Envelope
The Tire Envelope wizard lets you create a 3D envelope of the tire,& enclosing the extreme positions of the tire and spindle assembly to account for turning and wheel jounce. The motion of MacPherson strut and short long arm suspension configurations is simulated.& A report of& interferences with adjacent components is provided.&
Windshield Vision Zones
The Windshield Vision Zones wizard generates SAE and European defined vision zones on the windshield. This function establishes the A, B, and C test areas based on US standards (SAE J902, J903c, J191) and federal regulations (FMVSS104). The A and B vision zones of the European regulations (ECE43 Annex 14) is also supported. The windshield wiper pattern is created and the percentage of area wiped within the test area is calculated.&&
2D Manikin
The 2D Manikin function creates a 2D (side view) manikin that you can use to check posture. The size and posture are dependent on the selected manikin population percentile and manikin type (that is, driver or passenger). You can use the 2D manikin for an occupant packaging study early in the vehicle development process (according to the recommendations in SAE J833).
Direct Field of View
The Direct Field of View option calculates the ambinocular vision regions of an individual driver or a group of drivers. You can limit the vision region by eye/head rotation or by aperture. You can create vision areas early in the development process of a vehicle, and check to see if the angles are within an acceptable range. The analysis meets the recommendations of SAE J1050a.
Driver Selected Seat Position Lines
Driver Selected Seat Position Lines describes where certain percentages of drivers position their adjustable seats. You can use the seat lines as a design tool to estimate the location and length of seat travel for a target driver population. You can also use the lines as a check in predicting the level of accommodation provided by a given seat travel. This tool implements SAE J1516 and J1517.

健雄职业技术学院西门子NX项目预算金额48万元，拟采用单一来源方式采购。
一、健雄职业技术学院西门子NX软件的购置理由
太仓是被德国经济部和中国商务部共同授予的我国唯一一个“中德企业合作基地”，太仓市德资企业累计超过140家，形成了以精密机械加工、汽车零配件制造、新型建筑材料等技术密集型的三大产业集群。健雄职业技术学院是太仓市唯一的一所公办院校，其机电工程系中德培训中心设有机电一体化技术、模具设计与制造和数控技术三个专业，主要面向德资企业培养所需的高技能人才。目前，太仓德资制造业企业中三维数字化设计制造技术已广泛使用，其中使用西门子工业软件公司出品的三维数字化设计制造软件NX系统的占87.4%。德资企业普遍要求我院毕业生能够具有熟练使用NX系统技能。同时，也向我院提出了对企业已有员工开展NX系统基础培训与新功能再培训的迫切需求。鉴于学院专业建设西门子NX软件教学的实际需要和区域经济人才培养、技术服务的迫切需要，健雄职业技术学院经过论证，决定实施该项目。
二、健雄职业技术学院西门子NX软件项目单一来源采购的理由
1、三维数字化设计制造软件NX系统是西门子工业软件公司的产品，全球具有唯一性，只能向该公司采购。
2、西门子工业软件公司针对全国的教育单位对三维数字化设计制造软件NX系统的需求制定和开发了特定的教育软件包，功能十分的强大和适用；并对教育单位制定了十分优惠的价格政策。
3、西门子工业软件公司对每一个教育单位“三维数字化设计制造软件NX系统项目”的实施每次只授权一家代理商提供软件和服务。
4、上海优宏信息技术有限公司是西门子工业软件公司对本次健雄职业技术学院西门子

（1）软件培训
公司为学院提供软件的技术培训，使学院的教师在培训期内掌握NX软件在三维设计、装配、干涉检查、工程图纸、模具设计和制造方面的应用技巧和方法。软件的培训共分为以下部分：
① Siemens NX7.5 CAD/CAM基础培训，课程设置如下：
体系架构/易用性/可视化、建模/设计、装配设计、工程图、CAM基本功能、平面铣、
型芯/型腔铣、固定轴铣削
② Siemens NX7.5 CAD/CAM高级应用培训，课程设置如下：
复合建模概念、草图在建模中的运用、曲线的构造及编辑、曲面造型与编辑、电子表格在零件设计中的应用、装配造型、主模型与自顶向下的概念设计、多轴铣削、实例分析
培训时间由双方协商确定，参加培训的人员考试合格后，颁发相关培训资质证书。
（2）技术支持与服务、维护和升级
升级：为学院提供维护期内的免费版本升级。
维护：提供三年的软件模块的技术服务，包括三年免费电话服务和1年现场服务。
对于学院所提出的技术请求，公司通过电话、传真、电子邮件、公司互联网主页信息发布等方式向学院提供远程咨询，并保证一个工作日内响应；对远程咨询不能解决的技术请求，公司提供给学院每天16小时技术支持电话专线，随时响应学院在项目实施过程中服务请求，并根据需要安排工程师现场解决技术问题。提供50M 容量的E-mail信箱，使三维数模能及时地交流，并且及时地响应学院的更改要求。当学院发现软件故障或其它技术问题时，服务商将在2小时内做出响应。
在服务期内，公司提供该软件系统的最新版本，对系统进行扩充和升级。服务期满后的软件扩充和升级应享受最优惠待遇。
三、健雄职业技术学院西门子NX软件项目需求的产品具体参数和模块功能
本次项目将购买Siemens NX 7.5 CAD和CAM系统共40个点，具体的模块功能见表1，以满足在太仓的精密机械加工和汽车零配件制造业的德资企业需求。
