一个中国中部小县春节习俗（英文-长篇）：
Lunar New Year Celebration in a Town of Central
China：Observations and
Interpretations
眼看就“二月二，龙抬头”（据说这一天傍晚，东方苍龙七宿中的角宿，即“龙角”，开始从地平线升起，所谓“龙抬头”，实质上是古典天文学概念），忽然想起河南光山县老家的说法，过了二月二，春节才算完。
谈及春节，我就想起早在2000年，我曾经花费一个多月，辛苦写作了一篇长篇英文论文，专门对外介绍我的家乡所在县如何过年。本文用近一万单词的篇幅，全面介绍了一个中国中部小县（河南省光山县，佛教天台宗思想发源地）的春节风俗，并简介了各个风俗的文化渊源或意义。当年，也许是我英文表达最为得心应手的时期吧。
通过当写作过程中的专题研究，我得到一种领悟：鲁迅说，中国的根底在道教，诚哉斯言！我们那个小县的近二十项春节风俗，说到底，绝大多数都源于汉族民间道教信仰。

Abstract: The Lunar New Year,
also called the Spring Festival, is the festival of the greatest
significance in China. The way it is celebrated reflects many
Chinese folk traditions and values. The purpose of the essay is to
describe and interpret the practices involved in the Lunar New Year
celebration in a typically Chinese town, thus shedding light on
certain features of the Chinese folk
