&&&&&&& Throughout much of the world, rapid proliferation of antisocial behaviors seems to be an increasingly widespread problem. The public cry for more prisons and tougher sentences outweighs prevention and treatment of criminal acts. However, it is more urgent to identify the underlying root causes, rather than to deal with the symptoms through punishment measures
&&&&&&& The most common factor responsible for crimes is poverty. People who cannot afford to make their own ends meet are very likely to commit crimes as a last resort. It goes without saying that poor and unemployed individuals have much higher likelihood of committing crimes. Exposure to violence is another factor that contributes to crimes, especially youth crimes. Without proper parental guide, some young adults get deeply addicted to the Internet and become heavy net users. Some of them are contaminated by violence and pornography online, which is closely linked to their aggressive behaviors.
&&&&&&& Crime prevention requires the joint efforts from the entire society. The government should popularize education and create more jobs. The availability of education and job opportunities would allow citizens to secure employment and earn regular income, thereby reducing the crime rate to a minimum. To tackle youth crime, parents should play more supportive and loving roles, attaching more importance to their children&s emotional needs and limiting their access to unfavorable contents on the Internet by creating more interesting after-school entertainment
&&&&&&& To sum up, this unpleasant phenomenon can be attributed to several factors, including poverty and lack of parental supervision. The government should take more effective measures to raise living standards of those economically impoverished individuals and parents should give correct and immediate instruction to young adults. 雅思写作过程中审题是非常重要的一关，只有大家在审题的时候掌握的雅思写作题目的真正含义，才能在接下来的写作中发挥自己的实力。下面为大家介绍一个雅思写作审题方法，就是从不同的角度来分析。雅思作文跟国内写作一样都是话题作文，在紧张的时间里抓住题目思想进行立意是关键，雅思写作和国内的写作不同之处在于：
一、考题范围广并多涉及负面问题。
雅思考试的作文涉及教育、科技、犯罪、媒体、政府等各个方面。这是由英国的教育方式决定的。国外多是小班教学，以讨论课为主。学生围绕一个topic，进行辩论、相互驳斥，以此锻炼学生的语言和思维能力。
例如：关于交通警察是否可以配枪的话题。这个问题反映了现实意义：当时的伦敦和柏林等地区有多处骚乱，而这个问题英国议会真的有辩论过。这就要求我们考生要关注国际环境，培养自己的国际视野。
二、重辩论能力。
雅思考试是国际性的考试，主要考察考生独立思考的能力，提倡提出质疑，只要能自圆其说就可以。这与中国传统的中庸之道完全不同。但是考生在提出自己的观点时要在理性判断的基础上，也不需要政治腔。如02年考题&&是否应该废除死刑。不管哪种都要以站得住脚的论证和角度来分析。建议就这个题，最好应和国际走势选择反对死刑，这也是所谓的国际视野。
在审题后，如何揣测立意呢？
大家可以从不同的角度进行分析，比如：
E是economy environment经济和环境角度。
I是individual intelligence个人和智力角度。
G是government 政府角度。
H是human rights health人权和健康角度。
T分别是tradition time传统和时间角度。
S是society社会角度。
考生不妨在雅思写作时，运用这种快速好记的方法，迅速找到适当的角度为你的观点做阐释。例如，死刑的问题，同意不废除的可以从人权、社会、个人(受害者家庭、罪犯)等角度来论证，这样就能全面、系统的列出证词，自圆其说。
特别提醒考生：写作观点的选择一定要有清晰的界定，只能二选一。但是并不一定要尖锐而生硬。还以&死刑&为例，如果支持废除，文章最后也可以指出从长远看应该废除死刑，但是目前一些发展中国家的现状还不能废除。在观点解释清楚后，这是&有条件&的支持论点，反而更显圆满。

　　这样的题目，分析是关键。自己的习俗和异国文化习俗是否必然矛盾冲突呢?这是突破点。根据这个进行分类，进行二分法阐述。如果文化冲突比较显著，就最好入乡随俗，否则可以保持自己的习俗。课堂提问，什么是文化?预料之中，几乎没有人能够回答出来。因为这些学生回答问题不是通过大脑思考，而是想在自己大脑储存――他们虽然没有任何储存――中搜寻记忆的答案。这是中国学生最显著的特征。多年教室的蹂躏，早已使得他们完全丧失思考以及说人话的能力。
　　What is a culture? Although there is no an agreement about the definition of culture, people generally consider it to be the ways people eat, play, dress, drink, think, and work. When one person travels in a foreign country, the foreign culture is not necessarily completely incompatible with his or her native ways. Therefore, it is not always true to do in Rome as a Roman Does.
　　If one travels in a public culture, that is, where the social order, economic and other relationships between people are maintained by laws rather than by custom or kinship, it is safe for the traveler to do things in his or her own ways，because the public culture welcomes different or even conflicted opinions, people, and ways. Take New York, the big pot, as a typical case in point. In this city everybody has an angle and everyone has the right to do whatever delights him or her in case that it is not illegal.
　　If one travels in a folk culture, however, it is better to do in Rome as Romans do. A folk culture is a culture featured by clans, kinships, and customs. In a folk culture different ways of doing things are less welcomed. In such a culture, if one keeps his or her own ways of doing things, hardly can he or she be able to enjoy the journey. Worse, the traveler might be in the deep troubled water.
　　Therefore, whether one must follow the new ways of doing things and whether one must keep the native culture depend on a variety of specificconditions.
