OS X 10.7.3 Build 11D42 Seeded to Developers [Update: Release Description]

Following in the footsteps of yesterday's release of , Apple today seeded a new version of OS X 10.7.3 to registered Mac developers.
The new version, termed Build 11D42, comes three weeks after the , but the development team's work was undoubtedly slowed due to the holidays.
According to those familiar with the update, Apple is asking developers to focus their testing on the following areas: Address Book, iCal, Mail, Spotlight, and Safari. The delta version of the new build for updating from OS X 10.7.2 weighs in at 989.75 MB, while a combo version good for updating from any previous version of OS X Lion weighs in at 1.26 GB.
OS X 10.7.3 will be Apple's next free maintenance update for OS X Lion users. The current version, OS X 10.7.2, was
and brought support for Apple's new iCloud services.
OS X 10.7.3 developer builds have so far released a few hints of Apple's work, including
for new graphics cards that could appear in an updated Mac Pro and active efforts on
that could come to fruition in a "Retina" MacBook Pro rumored for release early this year.
Update: We're hearing that the new Build 11D42 is likely to be either the golden master version of OS X 10.7.3 that will be released to the public or very close to it.
Consequently, a public release could come in the relatively near future.
Update 2: Build 11D42 contains what is likely to be the final release description for OS X 10.7.3:The 10.7.3 update is recommended for all OS X Lion users and includes general operating system fixes that improve the stability, compatibility, and security of your Mac including fixes that:
- Add Catalan, Croatian, Greek, Hebrew, Romanian, Slovak, Thai, and Ukrainian language support
- Address issues when using smart cards to log into OS X
- Resolve issues authenticating with directory services
- Address compatibility issues with Windows file sharing
Interesting. I hope we will see iMessage for mac as well.

I'm sure I'm not only one, but please do a 10.6.9 so those of us who are remaining on SL for some time due to software requirements, can you please give us integration with iCloud. I like Lion but of the 5 Macs currently in my house 2 of them are still on SL where as the other 3 are Lion based, so it's not I don't want to or dont like lion it's just Rosetta based apps I have I still need.
Virtuallizing 10.6 via fusion is Ok I have it running now for testing just incase I run out of time with the mobileme to icloud transition hoping for 10.6.9

Why have an on/off switch for something that is essentially the same thing renamed.
How hard it is to remember 2 new words for saving documents?
Not very hard.
Why have a switch to switch back to something in the past that was not as good.
It's called creative destruction.
Out with the old and in with the new and better.
That's how Apple think.
And I think they are right.
It's not the same thing renamed. It's a counter intuitive thing that evens adds steps to your workflow.
Let's say I have a 30 page long document. I just want to open it and play around. But maybe not save anything. Now I actively have to either go to the top menu to lock the document or or click "dublicate" to generate and extra copy to play with - and then maybe delete afterwards.
And Autosave is not systemwide. It app dependant.
When working in Rapidweaver it doesn't autosave. In Pixelmator it does.
When working in Microsoft Word it doesn't autosave. In Pages it does.
And then when you realise you've been autosaving for the past 15 minutes - and click Versions - you get 10 different versions to look at. Well, if it's a 30 page document how are you going to find out which version you are looking for?
This whole Autosave-Version-Reopen-all-Windows-where-you-left-off thing works great on iPhone and iPad.
But my Mac is not a smartphone. It's a production tool. Autosave and Versions may work for some. Especially "Mom and Dad" who have little computing expertice.
But I can control my workflow by myself.
Just make an on/off switch and make everybody happy. It's as simple as that.

Save a version and duplicate to the exact same things as save and save as.
Get over yourself.
Accept the name change and move on.
Or get left behind.
It's not the name change that is the problem. It's the "auto" part. When working in previous versions of OSX do you press "save" every 5 seconds? Even when just playing around and trying things out? Do you still press "save" every 5 seconds knowing you're just playing around and may not actually want your final product to include all your changes?
Yes. I could lock the document or create a dublicate. But that's adding steps to the production process - not simplifying it. And it's not systemwide so I have to remember every single time which app autosaves and which one that doesn't.

Wouldn't hurt if it fixed instant on.
Maybe make the Air not get up to 100C when waking up from deep sleep for no reason.
And most importantly, I hope it makes it possible to have 2 apps in fullscreen at the same time, 3 would be awesome.
Yea. I hope they fix the fullscreen thing. If it's a "feature" it's one of the worst. Other than that I love Lion.

Your solution sounds like a royal pain the in ass for something that could easily get an on/off switch in system preferences.

You think ? Ok, could you do me a favor and tell me, how can I open a text file using Textedit, and then save it with a new encoding, when "Save As" dialog is missing ? And how can it be that you call this missing feature "new and better" ?
(Btw, I can do the above task with a workaround using different s/w, but not with Textedit anymore. Textedit is now crippled because of this).

I don't even know what this means. How can 2 apps both take up a full screen at the same time? They would be "half" screen apps at best :)

And I think, among many others, theyre flat our wrong. An on/off switch isn't going to kill you. It'll be left optional and you'll still have this new backwards way of handling your saved files.
For the rest of us, we prefer manually doing things according to *our* preferences, not yours or apples.

发现我被了，过来瞅一眼，我之前以1410的价钱在朱力哥那拍到了一双45.5的全明星11，也是01复刻的，首先我那双品相很好，正常氧化，水晶底没有色差，氧化也均匀，而且我一直热衷大码，感觉还是很超值的。
至于楼主这双起拍价定多少，我也不好多说，但个人感觉01刻的11还是很有意义的，logo的朝向以及鞋垫上的logo都还是忠于元年的，还有漆皮的面积，新复刻的都变短了，至于氧化程度只能看每人自己的衡量标准了
既然是拍卖就玩呗，也别计较太多，祝拍个好价吧
