　　Tefl全称是TeachingEnglish as a Foreign Language。目前Tefl证书为全球普遍承认和接受，是国际认可的通用英语教师资格证书。Tefl证书证明外教在外语口语和教学方法上经过了一定的培训,掌握了一定的技巧。
　　Tefl培训主要教学内容包括：基于课堂的语言学习及教学研究、语言教学中的测试与评估、英语外语教学教学法、第二语言习得之理论与实践和计算机辅助教学。
　　2、Tesol证书介绍
　　Tesol是什么？
　　Tesol全称是TeachingEnglish to Speakers of Other Languages即“对外英语教学”。Tesol证书由美国TESOL教育学会颁发，被国际组织认可，此外在英国、澳洲等英语国家，大部分学校和语言培训机构也认可Tesol证书。
　　美国Tesol证书要求参加Tesol学习的人已经具备一定的英语水平，tesol培训和学习将提高其教学水平，帮助其掌握教授母语为非英语的英语教学的方法和理论。Tesol证书肯定了证书持有者作为英语教师在教非英语为母语的学生时的教学资格和教学能力。
　　3、Tesl证书介绍
　　Tesl全称是TeachingEnglish as a Second Language，是专门为教授英语为非母语的英语老师特别设计的培训课程。Tesl证书着重于英语作为外语教学的有效方法，试图建立一个非母语教学的沟通接触的共同点，狠抓听、说、读、写技巧，并传授语法、词汇等传统教学领域中的方法。Tesl证书也是在全球范围内被广泛认可的。
　　4、Tefl、Tesol和Tesl证书的区别与联系。
　　目前在国内基本上tesol、tefl和tesl证书都已经被混用了，三者没有被严格的区别，都被作为外教资格证来看待。目前国内高校和稍微专业一点的英语培训中心外教都会要求三个证书之一，同时这些证书也是外教办理外国专家证的重量级砝码。
　　Tefl、tesl和tesol都是针对教授非英语母语的学生的，因此这些证书对于教英美等英语母语国家的学生没有说服力。另外这些证书对持有者的国籍和母语没有要求，因此美国人可以考取这个证书，法国人、西班牙人和中国人也可以拥有。
　　严格来讲,Tesol证书包含了tesl证书的内容，它们是在“英语系国家”（即以英语为母语的国家，如美国、加拿大、英国、澳大利亚、南非、新西兰等国家），以非英语为母语的学生为教学对象；Tefl证书则是在“非英语系列国家”，教授外国人英文作为第二语言。
　　5、CELTA ：英国剑桥大学语言教学证书
　　英国剑桥大学教师证书 (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults)。
　　对具有较少或完全没有教学经验的人士来说，CELTA是其进入英语教学领域的首要资格认证。CELTA证书，属于TESOL证书体系的高级类别，不仅是适用教授成人英语的教师资格证书，也是英国继续教育教学证书及TESOL国际英语教师资格证书的组成部分。
　　每年，有超过1000人顺利完成CELTA课程的学习。目前，全球很多从事语言教学的机构均承认CELTA证书，该证书已被列入英国国家教学大纲标准(National Qualifications Framework)。
　　6、TKT证书
&　　剑桥大学考试委员会(University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate)是权威的教育测试机构。英语教学能力证书 (TKT) 是剑桥大学考试委员会外语考试部(Cambridge ESOL)专为英语教师开发设计的证书考试。剑桥大学外语考试部自1913年开始推广英语考试项目，至今已推出一系列针对英语学习者及英语教师的考试、证书与文凭。 　TKT(Teacher Knowledge Test)是为母语为非英语国家的中小学或成人英语教师研发的英语教学能力证书，主要测试考生对语言及语言应用基本概念的掌握，以及对教学与学习的背景知识及实践过程的把握。该证书具有国际水准，考生可以借此进一步丰富教学专业知识，拓展事业发展前景。
　　TKT主要是英语教学知识水平测试，TKT虽然还不具备像TESOL国际英语教师资格证书，具有全球通用性和普遍认可。但是非常适合刚刚从事英语教学人士参加，只要参加考试就能获得证书。&
