  让学生在玩中学英语――初一英语课堂几种行之有效的游戏    刘若岩    游戏教学可以把看来枯燥的语言知识变成活灵活现的学习内容,激发学生的学习兴趣,让学生在玩中学,从而提高课堂教学效率。何希厚提出:“将设计恰当的游戏引入课堂教学是激发学生兴趣的有效途径,也是一节课成功的关键。”测试也表明,有趣味的形式或内容能使记忆力提高1.5 倍。在初一的过程中,适当利用英语游戏进行教学,能有效提高英语课堂教学效率。    一、词汇类游戏    词汇学习是个长期又枯燥的过程,学习者需要反复不断记忆、理解才能学会运用。初一学生作为初学者还不善于总结词汇记忆规律,他们花在记忆单词上的时间多,但遗忘快,往往对词汇学习容易产生畏难情绪。而英语教学游戏能减轻学生学习语言的心理压力,帮助学生识记、复习所学单词。游戏本身的趣味性能活跃课堂气氛,把紧张而单调的学习变得轻松愉快。英语词汇类游戏有单词接力、头脑风暴、Bingo、画图及“争上游”等。    1. 单词接力    可将全班学生分为若干组,每组人数大致相等。各组按顺序上黑板写单词,每组第一个学生在所学单词中任选一个写在黑板上。要求第二个单词的第一个字母必须是第一个单词的最后一个字母,且不能与本组已写过的单词重复。如此按顺序写下去,在单位时间内写的单词最多且拼写正确的那一组为胜。以新目标七年级上册前四单元为例,可写单词组为:English-he-eight-tele-hone-eleven-name…    2. 头脑风暴(Brainstorm)    教师可向学生展示一幅图片,让学生写出图中物品的英文名称。让学生以小组竞赛的方式在组内讨论,所写单词最多的组获胜。例如新目标Unit 1中1a所给的图中,便有许多已学单词,如map, window, door, book, orange, cup,key, pen, basketball, clock 等。这种方式既可使学生充分开动脑筋、搜索已学词汇,还可以通过学生集体智慧由程度较好的学生提出未学词汇从而扩充全班学生的词汇量。    3. Bingo    Bingo 是一个传统游戏,可让学生将所学同类的9 个单词任意写在一张有9个格子的纸上,然后教师按任意顺序念出这9 个单词,如新目标七年级上册Unit 2 所学有关人物的单词,如father,mother, brother, sister, friend, grandfather,grandmother, uncle, aunt等。初二、初三年级也可将单词归类做此游戏,如人物类、动物类、家具类、文具类等,帮助学生记忆单词,加深印象。    4. 听词画图    可让每位学生拿一张纸出来,由老师报出所学单词(仅限名词),每个人画出这个词所代表的人或物。游戏开始前,可以让每组派代表到黑板上来画图,增加趣味性和竞争性。如新目标七年级上册Starter Unit 2 中提到8 个名词,即ruler, map, jacket, key, quilt, orange,pen, cup,在学生熟记这些单词后,可采取老师报单词、学生画图的练习形式,以作为单词听写这种较为单调乏味的练习形式的补充。在学习了有关颜色的词汇后,还可以报出各物体的颜色,让学生涂色,如”The cup is red. Thejacket is green.”等    5. 争上游    每个学习小组推荐一人参加比赛,参加者一般不超过十人。十人编号后,按号码站在教室最后一排。老师规定单词范围,有主持人拼出单词,有参赛者读出单词并说出中文意思。答对者前进一排,答错者原地不动,第二次答错则退后一排。如,主持人拼出n-o-t-e-b-o-o-k,一号参加者说出“notebook,笔记本”则算对,可以向前走一排。先抵达第一排的小组为获胜组。    二、语音类游戏    2011 年版《初中英语课程标准》特别强调语音学习,初一英语课本也特别规划出了(Pronunciation)发音部分,各单元也有分单元音素练习和句子练习,但这些练习相对单调,并且缺乏通过拼读音标读出单词的练习。对于语音教学,教师可采取查词典比赛、正音练习及读绕口令的游戏形式。    查词典比赛即由老师读出一个单词的各个字母,连读三遍,读时学生不许动笔。教师读完后,学生迅速几下字母,然后查字典,并举手按词典中所给音标读出这个单词。最先查到的学生可为本英语小组加一分。如老师读n-a-m-e,学生查出音标/neim/,并读出读音。    正音练习需要老师总结出学生读音中容易混淆的音素和单词,并让学生以小组竞赛的形式练习读。如练习区分音素/ e / 和/ a: /,区别单词see/ si: /,say/ sei /。    绕口令是一种很好的发音练习,可使学生规范自己的发音。对于初一阶段的学生,教师可选择较容易的绕口令,遇到没学的单词,可给出音标,让学生拼读。在给学生一定练习时间后,让学生们比赛谁能读得又快又准又流利。如“Can you can a can as a canner can can acan?(你能够像罐头工人一样装罐头吗?)”    三、语法类游戏    语法类游戏以练习重点句型为主,可开展听译抢答比赛、猜句子比赛、填歌词比赛等。    1. 听译抢答比赛    该比赛可用于单元结束前的重点句型复习环节,教师可总结出本单元重点句,将该句子英文或中文读出,让学生举手翻译出该句,答对的学生可为本组加一分。应注意的是[1]&&
